Financial Controller

RightMove Recruitment are now hiring an experienced Financial Controller to join our client, a 3* Hotel.

Our Client is looking to hire a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will play a key role in the successful day to day operations of the business. The Financial Controller will form part of our management leadership team and have an opportunity to make a real impact on the business.

Description of Role:

  • Develop and manage internal revenue control systems
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – prepare forecasts and budgets for each business department and measure performance
  • Financial Reporting – Margin Analysis KPI reporting
  • Process improvement – Proactively seek improvements in systems, improve efficiencies, and reduce costs across the business
  • Oversee and control stock-take, liaise with all HOD’s regarding departmental P&L’s, and gross profit percentages
  • Ensure all revenue is captured and all costs are reported correctly
  • Reconcile cash and bank account
  • Day-to-day finance operations of the hotel, working closely with colleagues to achieve timely management and financial reporting, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity are implemented
  • Processing of purchase orders and invoices, input into accounts system coding correctly to nominal codes, pay suppliers in accordance with the company’s financial policy. Deal with supplier queries and reconcile suppliers’ statements
  • Report and reconcile daily revenue, prepare daily management information for hotel from PMS
  • Responsible for payroll processing, payments by BACS and monthly PAYE reconciliation. Report payroll costs by department and input into nominal ledger

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, hospitality related
  • Accountancy Qualification
  • Enjoys working with a small team and has an optimistic outlook
  • Confident, articulate and communicative with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail prioritise workload and maintain accuracy
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Experience with XERO, SAGE, PROCURE WIZARD, Advanced Excel

Reporting

Working closely with the GM and reporting directly to the Managing Director

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €55,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
